About.

INSPIRED BY DIFFERENCE.

“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.” – Ansel Adams

As a musician and a photographer I allways loved looking at beautiful instruments. I quickly realised there are lots of fantastic instruments out there that would benefit from having some professional images taken to capture their beauty.  That is when I decided to start guitar-photos.com.

Frequently excellent guitars are under-sold – or not sold at all – as a result of poor pictures. Occasionally poor guitars are misrepresented by ‘Photo-shopped’ ones.

My aim is to give an accurate but appealing representation of all instruments that I photograph in an open and honest way.

RESULTS DRIVEN IMAGERY.

When it comes to selling guitars via the web, a picture is definitely worth more than a thousand words. A single impactful photo will immediately garner interest, whereas elegant prose and accurate descriptions will invariably go unread.

MAXIMISE SELLING CHANCES.

Despite this, the web is awash with photos that are badly composed, out of focus or have colour balance issues. Some pictures disguise blemishes or evidence of play wear in a misleading way, others simply fail to capture the natural, aesthetic beauty of the instrument.

Here are a few testimonials from clients

“I’ve been familiar with Christians guitar photography for a lot longer than I realised. His style and eye for lighting and detail I now realise, I’ve seen in countless top notch listings and articles about guitars. In some cases, his excellent pictures have been what got me en route to come and see a beautiful instrument! Christian really knows what he’s doing, and because he understands a guitar’s uniqueness as a great player himself, he knows exactly how best to represent them, for us all to see, share, and appreciate. He’s also been really helpful when I’ve needed a photo in a hurry.

Chris Jolley, Mersyside

Christian has photographed dozens of my guitars. Initially it was to aid in selling instruments, but as time has passed I have asked him to photograph virtually all guitars that come in to my possession. I now do this as automatically as setting-up the guitar.
When I post pictures of guitars for sale, I’ll frequently receive responses like ‘I’m not interested in the guitar, but I love the photos’. I think this is the best endorsement of all for Christian’s workmanship.

Peter Marshall, Lancashire

I have worked with several professional photographers and Christian stands out with his passion and understanding of what makes a great guitar.
Somehow, he manages to capture and convey these qualities in his images. I am already looking forward to see what he does with the next instrument I have to send him. He’s also a jolly nice guy.
